Taper™ ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and disclosed when you use our mobile application ("App").

Taper is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect minimal information and store your data locally on your device.

Information We Collect

We don't collect your data - it stays on your phone.

Everything you enter in Taper (doses, symptoms, notes) is stored only on your device. We have no access to it and never see it.

Data Storage

Taper stores all your personal information locally on your device. Your substance tracking data, personal logs, and settings never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to export them.

We do not maintain any servers that store your personal information or substance use data.

When you delete the Taper app from your device, all your data is permanently removed unless you've manually created a backup.

Coming Soon

We may introduce optional cloud-based features (such as backup or provider access), which will only be activated with your clear, opt-in consent. You will retain control over your data at all times.

Data Security

Your data is stored using your device's built-in security features. Since we never receive or store your data, we can't access it even if we wanted to. Your data is as secure as your phone.

Your Rights

You maintain full control over your data. You can:

Delete any or all of your data from the App at any time
Export your data for personal use

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
